Mayacama Residence

Built in an exclusive and treasured part of rural Sonoma county with respect and understanding for architectural conformity with the existing structures was necessary to enhance the experience of the landscape. This was not a place to allow the building to overtake the site with its presence. The early California ranch style with large open outdoor spaces and wings of the plan extending into the landscape to find sun and view and create intimate outdoor spaces. Natural stone, antique clay tile roof and a patina finished plaster are materials that interact with their environment in a way the give the home its sense of timelessness and belonging.
